Our Story

Kerleys Auctions has borne witness to more than a century of history. Founded in 1910 by James Kerley, the business initially traded as Kerley & Young, specialising in the sale of Real Estate and furniture. In the latter part of the 20th Century, the company expanded its interests, branching out to selling a vast variety of goods including antiques, art and collectables. The business has traded from the same Moorabool Street building since the day of its inception and has evolved into one of Geelong’s most beloved institutions.

Today, under the guidance of new proprietors, Kerleys hosts 1 auction per month, focusing on a vast variety of quality, hand selected goods on behalf of vendors from all over Australia. On offer each month is a unique range of Antique, Vintage, Mid Century and Collectable Articles. A selection of mixed modern and vintage furniture, objects of interest and fine jewellery decorate the showroom. These auctions are always a fun and diverse shopping outlet for our customers.
