Some of our followers may know that we hold several business ventures and unfortunately the time has arisen where we are unable to inject the same time and energy we once had into this thriving auction business! We are now seeking a new owner to match our motivation and to continue the legacy.

How The
Business Operates
Kerleys is a market leader, hosting online auctions each month, selling Antiques, Collectables, Art, Furniture, Jewellery & Fine Home Decor. The stock is consigned on behalf of Private Sellers, Deceased Estates, Lawyers & Bankruptcy Services. Kerleys takes a 20% Sale Commission from the seller and a 20% Buyers Commission from the Buyer. A 40% total commission (including GST).
The auctions are held online on a platform called Invaluable.com, where buyers from all over the world can bid live from the comfort of their own home. Buyers can then collect purchases from the showroom at 185 Moorabool St, Geelong or items can be packed & shipped in-house.

One Casual Staff Member included. One Casual Sotheby’s Accredited Appraiser and One Casual Assistant can be discussed. Current owners can assist the future owners in hiring out an Auctioneer on Auction Days.

Because stock is not owned by Kerleys Auctions, liability and additional expenses are minimal. Contracts and commercial client network will be provided to the new owner/s upon change-over. The current owner is happy to negotiate his personal network of clients, collectors and dealers.

The current lease at 185 Moorabool St, Geelong is very affordable and lower than comparisons in the same CBD locations. Constant daily foot traffic means the window display becomes a very effective marketing tool.
